Description: Come join amateur beekeeper and general Hymenoptera enthusiast Addison Woll for a Lunch and Learn all about Bees. Did you know there are over 4000 identified native bees to Iowa? Did you know that Apis mellifera is definitely not one? Addison will discuss his undergrad honors thesis on Osmia bees in Southern Missouri, as well as native bees of Iowa and social structure of the honeybee.
