Transfer Student Honors Eligibility and Timeline:

To be eligible to apply:

• Applicants need to have completed a full semester of college courses in order to apply.
• Applicants need to have been admitted to the University of Iowa.
• Meet with an Honors Program advisor to discuss curricular fit with the program requirements.
  • It is ideal to meet with someone in the Honors program before the student registers for classes.
  • The deadline to have this meeting for fall admission is August 1st 
  • The deadline to have this meeting for spring admission is Dec 15th.
• Honors courses taken elsewhere may be able to be applied toward University Honors requirements.
• Transfer applications are evaluated on a rolling basis. Sooner is better. Waiting may limit your fit with the program requirements.
