Peter Nitsche
Hi, I’m Peter! I’m a third-year English and Creative Writing major on the pre-med track. I research snails and the evolution of sexual and asexual reproduction at the Neiman Lab, and volunteer at the hospital. This Fall, I will be a fiction editor on two undergraduate literary magazines, an English Outreach Ambassador, and working on an independent honors project (a novella) with faculty member Tom Lin. This past summer, I reviewed queries, manuscripts, and worked with a literary agent as an intern at the Kepner Agency. I also attended the three-week graduate level Iowa Summer Writer’s Workshop and met writers from all over the world, from Australia, China, California, Brooklyn, etc. Outside of school I enjoy writing, hiking, and painting. My favorite books are A Touch of Jen by Beth Morgan and Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters.
