The Presidential Scholars Program promotes student growth and self-discovery through peer mentoring, networking, academic and social events, community service, academic experiences outside the classroom, and interaction with keynote speakers as well as a year scholarship of $1000 per academic year. Its goal is to encourage and enable Presidential Scholars to push the limits of their potential at Iowa and beyond.

  • Explore avenues to self-discovery through learning how service/civic engagement might look in a variety of careers or disciplines.
  • Develop a sense of community within Honors at Iowa and the greater Iowa City community.
  • Encourage exceptional academic ability
  • Practice integrity in scholarship and leadership
  • Develop intellectual curiosity
  • Appreciate and respect difference(s)
