Kate Daum Residence Hall

The Honors House enables honors first-year students to make connections—both to their deep intellectual curiosity as well as to peers and faculty—as they enjoy seminar-style classes, experiential learning, and a creative community. Honors House motivates students eager to pursue their academic interests while also cultivating practical skills.

About Other Living-Learning Communities (LLCs)

While Honors House (Daum Hall) is a community, you do not have to apply for it as you would another LLC. Students who are accepted into the Honors Program will automatically have the opportunity to select a room in Honors House (Daum Hall) as space allows.

The Honors House offers its residents opportunities to meet like-minded students and engage more deeply with the University Honors Program; however, active Honors students live all over campus and Iowa City. Any questions about living in Honors House should be directed to UI Housing at 319-335-3000.
