Each year, Honors invites graduating Honors students to be considered for celebration as Honors at Iowa Scholars. This high recognition acclaims student work in and beyond the classroom, with an emphasis on the applicant’s knowledge, skill, and experience as well as outstanding academic performance, excellence within their chosen discipline(s), and any contributions made to the University community through performance, research, organizational leadership, volunteer service and intellectual or creative engagement.
To be considered for this award, students must be a:
- graduating senior (December of 2016, Spring 2017, or Summer 2017),
- who will graduate with University Honors,
- from any of the University of Iowa Undergraduate Colleges.
Interested students must submit their name and resume/CV for consideration by Monday, March 6, 2017. To do so, click here to share your name and upload a PDF version of your CV or resume.
Our 2017 Honors at Iowa Scholar cohort will be announced by mid-March 2017 and recognized at Honors at Iowa’s annual Spring Recognition Ceremony on Saturday, April 1, 2017. In addition to being recognized by the Honors Program, their peers, faculty mentors and family members, Honors at Iowa Scholars may also choose to be considered for the role of our student speaker at Honors Commendation Ceremony on Friday, May 12, 2017.
