There are two ways to visit the University Honors Program: either as part of a daily campus visit or while you are attending a Hawkeye Visit Day.
Daily Campus Visit
Is Honors at Iowa for you? A visit with the staff and students can help you answer this question. Through University of Iowa Admissions, prospective students and their families can arrange to visit the University Honors Program as part of a campus visit. Prospective students and their families are given an overview of the program, take a tour of the Blank Honors Center, and interact directly with University Honors staff and students.
Hawkeye Visit Days
Through a combination of overview sessions, tours, lunch, and a majors fair, Hawkeye Visit Days offer prospective students and their families an opportunity to learn about admission, housing, financial aid, and student life at Iowa. As part of this offering, the University Honors staff and students conduct an information session, tour, and lunch for students who are interested in Honors at Iowa.
After the general Q&A session in the Iowa Memorial Union’s Main Lounge, guests elect to attend a special Honors at Iowa session in the Iowa Theater, where the University Honors staff and students briefly introduce the program. Afterward, we divide into smaller groups for tours of the Blank Honors Center and Honors House, and finish in Burge Market Place for informal conversation over lunch. Guests rejoin the larger group at the Exploring Majors Fair.
