*NEW* Honors Summer 2020 Project This is an opportunity for students to gain up to 3 experiential learning credits this summer from home.
Changes made over the spring semester:
Research: If you are unable to complete your research hours due to the public health crisis, you will still be awarded your Experiential Learning credit hours. IF you are conducting research on a Volunteer or Paid basis you had the opportunity to complete the Alternative Honors Credit Research Assignment by May 4th, 2020 for credit. IF you are enrolled in a credit bearing or an URES course, continue as directed by your mentor or per departmental guidance. Your credits will be accounted for.
Study Abroad/Internships: Since COVID-19 is apart of your experience, you will still receive credit if you complete a pre-questionnaire, post, questionnaire, and narrative. Please contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Service Learning: Students seeking experiential learning credit through Service Learning should confer with their instructors and site supervisors on any changes required. Credit will be awarded as long as students comply with instructor/supervisor expectations. If you feel compliance is unsafe, please contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Honors Contract Courses
If your original contract agreement has been interrupted due to campus closing (e.g. No longer having access to Astronomy Observatory), try to renegotiate it with your professor if possible. If it is not, contact the Assessment Manager for a future contract exemption and delay of the 4 semester rule. Honors is now permitting students to contract classes during the Summer session. In accordance with the P/N designation by the Registrar due to COVID-19, Honors will accept P/N grading for Honors courses as well as contracted courses.
