Humanity in Action Fellowships
The Humanity in Action Fellows promote human rights and democracy. The HIA Fellowships give American and European students the opportunity to interact with world human-rights leaders. Winners enjoy summer internships at sites in Europe (the Hague, Berlin, and the like) or the United Nations in New York City.
Applications are due in early February, so interested students should contact the Honors Scholarship Director by the preceding December.
Winners from the University of Iowa appear in the Honors Hall of Fame. Iowa’s most recent Humanity in Action Fellow is Sean Williams, who blogs about his experience with his group of HIA Fellows.
