Honors Program

Researchers Hall of Fame

Spring Undergraduate
Research Festival

Each year, Honors at Iowa celebrates undergraduate research and creativity by displaying some of what Iowa students have learned and produced.  The main medium is the poster presentation, and the climactic venue is the entry hall of the Blank Honors Center.  There students share their art and inquiry with faculty, family, colleagues, and the community.

This festival of learning was launched in 2006 by Honors Associate Director Bob Kirby.  It includes juried competitions in four loose categories, with the winners commemorated year by year in the pages accessible below.  Conversations pause in the middle for a few talks from dignitaries, who also bestow prizes for participation and the annual Vice President for Research Awards for Excellence in Undergraduate Research.
