Researchers Hall of Fame

Research in the Capitol

 

During the annual meeting of the Iowa Legislature, honors undergraduates from each of the Iowa Regents Universities present their research in the rotunda of the Statehouse.  Organized by the University of Iowa, this day is dedicated to “Research in the Capitol.”  It celebrates how undergraduates learn by doing research in a variety of fields.

 

Projects have increased to some twenty a year from each participating university:  Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, and the University of Iowa.  Poster presentations enable students to share specifics of their inquiries with state officials and visitors.  Students discuss how the work enriches their educations, careers, and contributions to Iowa.
