Find Honors Friends
College friendships are often lasting friendships. That goes for roommates, classmates, and all the more for students who share larger intellectual communities for longer than a semester. It also holds for the campus people who teach and support student work.
Honors at Iowa wants to stay in touch with its friends and help them stay connected with each other. This website — with news, listservs, addresses, and other devices — is a further step in those directions. Please feel encouraged to help us by sending information about where you are and what you are doing — as well as making full use of this website. On the right, you can click for connections to Honors Alumni; and that is the place to go for telling us about your relations to honors education at Iowa.
As we plan celebrations for the Fiftieth Anniversary of Honors at Iowa, we want to respond to interests of our alumni and friends. In hopes that you may participate here or from a distance, moreover, we want to be able to let you know about the events and initiatives that result. For updates on anniversary developments, please click the Honors Anniversary button on the right.
Through occasional e-mail messages, the Honors Friends Listserv keeps our alumni and friends posted on Honors developments in general. For example, this is how we publicize new issues of Honorable Mention, the Honors Newsletter, which appear as part of this website. Access to the Honors Friends Listserv also is available on the right.
