Honors Advising Director

The many modes of advising provided by Honors at Iowa benefit from careful connections, and these come from the Honors Advising Director.  Individual advising of Honors Students is part of the job for all members of the Honors Professional Staff, and the Honors Advising Director is no exception.  For initial information about Honors at Iowa, any student — whether current or prospective — does well to contact the Honors Secretary or the Honors Advising Director.

As the point person for all advising about Honors, the Advising Director facilitates the continuing education of all its advisors on Honors elements.  This member of the Honors Professional Staff superintends the campus-wide honor societies recognized by the Honors Program.  And this director is responsible for initiatives in orienting new students as well as advising students on campus.

Please feel encouraged to consult the Honors Advising Director about good sources — from the Honors Faculty, Honors Professional Staff, or Honors Peer Advisors — for details on any Honors opportunity or requirement.
