Admissions

Honors at Iowa tries to include every talented student who stands to benefit from our programs.  This holds for membership and participation.  We admit members as early as possible.  We support them in a vast array of endeavors.  And whenever we can match student talents and interests to exceptional opportunities, we do.

For details on admissions to different aspects of honors education at Iowa, please use the pop-out menu for Admissions on the left.  There are several routes into the University of Iowa Honors Program, which begins with the first two years of study.  The same goes for honors programs in the undergraduate colleges and departments, which focus on the third and fourth years of study.

From the start, members of Honors at Iowa may apply to live in the Honors House or other Honors Clusters.  Admissions to the Aces Program also can come early for students moving toward major scholarship competitions and public action.
