Programs

To learn by doing is not limited at Iowa to the classroom or the laboratory.  Honors at Iowa generates an exceptional array of co-curricular opportunities for its students, staff, and faculty.

The menu on the right emphasizes programs that the Honors Student Staff plans and conducts.  These cultivate communities throughout Honors by helping Honors Students share experiences.  Honors supports these interactions with tickets, speakers, facilities, refreshments, transportation, inspiration, and more.

Five of these sets of activities qualify for Honors Pick One.  Others provide for residential learning, student networking, Honors communication, and appreciating student achievements.

Honors Students at Iowa also play big roles in hosts of campus organizations.  Honors sponsors several of these, with some coordinated by the Honors Professional Staff and others coordinated by student volunteers.  Honors Students have created distinguished traditions of contribution to the University of Iowa Student Government, the 10,000 Hours Show, Dance Marathon, and more.
