Honors Graduations
At Iowa, two kinds of honors achievements earn recognition at graduation ceremonies. The first focuses on work with the University of Iowa Honors Program, and it involves graduation with more than one Honors Commendation. The second arises from work with the student’s major; so it is called graduation with honors in English, Psychology, Finance, or the like.
In addition, graduation ceremonies celebrate high grades through three degrees of graduation with distinction. Students who qualify receive special markings for their graduation regalia.
